Chris Bernstorf
Equally at home in sanctuaries, metal shows, coffee shops, and living rooms, Chris Bernstorf's poetry lets him walk seamlessly between the many worlds of live performance. Having travelled some 50,000+ miles in the last two years alone and logging some 175+ shows in his career so far, Bernstorf continues to show his unique brand of performance poetry belongs everywhere and is for everyone. His poetry becomes a full-body art as he walks, runs, jumps, climbs, sings, screams, shouts, and whispers his way through whatever venue he finds himself in and encourages his audience to do the same--indeed, everything from crowds of silent onlookers to sing-a-longs, pile-ons, and the occasional crowd-surfer have all been known to show up during Bernstorf's performances. Bernstorf is passionate about Jesus and people more than anything else (even his art), and he performs (and really just exists) to worship His King and offer hope and life and joy to those willingly to listen. Known for straight-talking honesty and a willingness to laugh at himself and point out his own inconsistencies and failures (and the ever greater Grace of Jesus), Bernstorf's heart, passion, and live performance prove captivating for everyone involved, regardless of their own world view or opinion on poetry. The bottom line for Bernstorf is that he loves Jesus, he loves you, and he's here to give it his all, the best he can.
Chris has shared the stage with artists like For Today, Nine Lashes, The Letter Black, Sleeping Giant, Gideon, Demon Hunter, Impending Doom, Blood of the Martyrs, and many others along with performing at major festivals including, Cornerstone, Uprise, Alliance, and others! |
